Welcome to The Pier House Hotel and Restaurant. Our hotel is situated right on the harbour side at Charlestown, a World Heritage Site on the outskirts of St Austell a short drive from the Eden Project.

The Pier House Hotel offers 3 star accommodation with all modern conveniences in a setting that has changed little, outwardly, since Georgian times. The harbour area has been used for many period films and television programmes and is now home to the Square Sail fleet of traditional sailing ships, at least one of which is usually to be seen in the harbour.

Our single, twin and double rooms offer modern en suite facilities and the latest comforts. These include colour television, central heating, tea/coffee making facilities, unlimited free WIFI access and direct dial telephones. Those with harbour views, though, look out onto a view that has changed little for hundreds of years and for sheer atmosphere there are few accommodation locations to match.

The Pier House Hotel does not rely on setting alone, however. The hotel offers good facilities to all guests as well as a delicious breakfast in the morning. Evening meals can be taken in the hotel’s a la carte restaurant (this needs to be arranged when booking), or for a more flexible and informal style of dining in the bistro or adjacent Harbourside Inn.

However you choose to dine you can be assured of excellent service and good quality food. The Harbourside Inn offers a friendly environment in which to enjoy a relaxed, social evening with a regular programme of live entertainment.

As well as the nearby Eden Project, which is a very short drive from the Pier House Hotel, guests can enjoy the Lost Gardens of Heligan, some amazing coastal walks, special golf deals at Porthpean Golf Club. The Roseland Peninsula is easily accessible with golden sands at Nare Head, the King Harry Ferry to Trelissick and St Mawes with its castle and ferry service to Falmouth.

Truro is approximately 30 minutes away and much of Bodmin Moor is also within easy reach.
