Peregrine Hall is an historic property, set in 10 acres of gardens and grounds with panoramic views over the Fowey Valley, Lostwithiel and Restormel Castle. The house is ideally situated to explore all of Cornwall. The National Trust house at Lanhydrock is nearby with the Eden Project 6 miles away. Both South and North coastlines, Bodmin Moor, Heligan Gardens and Caerhays Castle are within easy reach
Built in 1864, the house was first known as St. Faith's House of Mercy, run by a Church of England order of nuns from the Community of St. Mary's, Wantage as a house of penance for 'wayward girls' who were put to work running a laundry for Lanhydrock House. Reference to the house can be found locally at churches of St. Winnow and St. Nectan's, the museum in Lostwithiel and the National Trust museum at Lanhydrock.
